Meet Your Host & Coach

My name is Brooklyn and I am a Misophonia Coach Practitioner certified in neuro-linguistic programming, EFT (tapping), T.I.M.E. techniques, clinical hypnotherapy and life and success coaching. I’ve completed the Understanding & Utilizing Rapid Resolution Therapy® training and am working toward certification. I also have a degree in Communication and studied nonviolent communication.

In other words, I’m very passionate about understanding and working with the unconscious mind. The part of us that doesn’t respond to logic or reason, but instead speaks in metaphors, symbols, stories…

The part of us that is wired for survival. And often the conscious and unconscious minds miscommunicate. Which isn’t surprising, since they’re speaking different languages! My job is creating the bridge for understanding, which then creates a pathway to transformation.

After suffering from misophonia for more than 20 years, it's now my mission to support as many people as possible in lessening the suffering they experience from misophonia.

Ep. 01 - Seconday Gains

What the heck is a secondary gain? Get the answer and learn how yours might be keeping you trapped in the suffering spiral, no matter how badly you want to break free. And yes, we'll clear these up too, so you can finally make progress toward Misophonia relief.

Ep. 02 - Separate Misophonia From Your Identity

If Misophonia is who you are, then good luck trying to get rid of it. Your unconscious mind has a program it runs that makes up your personality, likes, dislikes, thoughts, beliefs, behaviors, etc. So if Misophonia is part of that framework, it won't want to let go—even if it's causing you pain. We'll separate Misophonia from your identity so you can actually say goodbye for good.

Ep. 03 - Install Belief That Healing Is Possible

Ever heard of a self-fulfilling prophecy? You might be living in one right now. Ep. 05 - Redefine Danger

Okay, it's now time to start undoing the pattern of Misophonia that's running on autopilot in your unconscious mind. We'll recalibrate the danger sensors in your brain so you can respond more appropriately to noises that have triggered disgust and panic in the past.

Ep. 06 - Processing Stuck Data

Ever had someone call you crazy? Or make noises on purpose to see you in pain? These memories can get stuck in your mind like superglue inevitably does to your fingers any time you try to use it. And these memories can make it difficult to let go and move forward. So this episode will walk you through the easiest way to process this "stuck data" so you can feel the anger, resentment, guilt, regret, etc. just melt away.

Ep. 07 - Wash Away & Rewire

Get cozy because we're exploring deep meditation. This process is a favorite among my clients because all you have to do is close your eyes and breathe. The audio does the rest for you, washing away old patterns and cementing the new neural pathways that ditch Misophonia for good.

Who knew counting could be useful for something other than the obvious? This episode will explore techniques that can be used as coping strategies in the moment, as well as strategies that rewire the pattern of Misophonia while using them.

Misophonia can feel like you're a ticking time bomb. You know they aren't making that noise on purpose, and yet, it doesn't matter. You still explode with rage or yell at them to stop.
